While we tease quite a bit on the FFF about numbers, it is no secret that FBCH pushed for numbers.  On another thread a poster was talking about FBCH having a push for baptisms.  He said that several students in his SS class were getting baptized multiple times to get rewards.

Now, keep in mind that I can only speak about my time at FBCH.  While there was a push for salvations and baptisms, I do not remember any "rewards" given to anyone for getting saved or baptized.  Yes, there were bus promotions.  Yes, there were prizes for bringing the most visitors.  I never remember giving a prize or reward to anyone for getting saved or baptized.

What are your remembrances of this?

I agree with you Raider, dont remember ever giving a gift for getting Baptized.  I did win a ski trip once!!!

You were just in the wrong SS dept.

I never questioned the honesty or accuracy of the salvation profession numbers.  There was definitely a lot of "1-2-3 pray after me" going on, but that's the way we were taught.

I remember one of my old bus kids during a particularly hot summer. He would come to our bus after Junior Church and proudly proclaim, "Brother ______ I took another Baptize today!" As much as I explained what baptism was he felt it was hot enough to do it again the next week.

I do not recall any prizes for professions or baptisms. But I can only speak from Autumn 1972 to Spring 1977.
