Interesting about 7:20 mark..."pray for Schaap family...pray for Dr. Schaap"...what about the girl and her family? Clap for deacons who probably should have stood up earlier with morally corrupt teaching of the Scripture.
Interesting that interim pastor again says how he loves Bro Schaap and asked the church to pray for Schaap family and nothing is said about the victim and her family. I can't understand the silence...even in his final prayer, no prayer for victim and her family. This is sad. One last thing the call to pray for their next pastor who will "come and take control of this place"...that phrase speaks volumes about how they got to where they are in the mess now.

The only thing we know about this girl is that she sent (and must have taken the photo herself) Schaap the photo - which is very odd but it's typical these days for teens to text photos of sexual nature. You'd think that the girl was trying to do a Lisbeth Salander and send him the photo to let him know that she was going to report him but sadly that wasn't the case. There was a photo but apparently no message of that nature. In kidnapping they call it Stockholm Syndrome where the victim empathizes with the kidnapper(s). I agree we should pray for her and her family - she was already a victim before this relationship which could have gone on for months and Schaap just made it worse for her. Sex abuse victims should be not counselled by any pastor but by professional counsellors preferably a Christian one (if they are Christians). They should also be with others who had the same experience to help them through it.

What I found strange is Gibbs proclamation that Schaap never said this kind of behavior was acceptable. Why did that have to be said. Has Schaap been unclear or give some indication that this behavior is not as bad as it is?

I saw him on videos posted on the old FFF. He was terrible, even disregarding the content. He was painful to listen to even when he said things I agreed with. I can't understand hiring him as pastor.
