Recently an IFB pastor posted the words to "Everythings All Right in my Father's House" on Facebook. A female Hacker's response is worth this thread:
"Brother Hyles made that chorus up after a men's dorm fire at HAC. He calmed the chapel audience by singing it and all began to ding it together with him. There was damage but no one was hurt. The chorus caught on and we sang it on bus routes and everywhere else throught the years."
Isn't it great to know that Brother Hyles gets credit for making up a song on the spur of the moment even if the chorus was originally written by someone else back in the 1920'. Gotta love Hackers!!
