Donald Trump is one of the most unusual men I know of in American history. I remember him going down the elevator in his first bid for the presidency and like many others I thought he was a joke. He had been a Democrat for many years and had given money to left-wing politicians with a reputation of being a well known womanizer. I voted for Ted Cruz in the primaries but after Trump won the nomination I reluctantly voted for him. This article in the Blaze is a very interesting discussion on the odds of Donald Trump coming back after losing in 2020 and the dangers of another four years of a radical administration under Kamala Harris. I believe America was on the precipice of becoming a full blown socialist/communist nation but God has given us a short reprieve. I still believe Jesus is coming back soon.

America saved Europe from Hitler and his allies in World War II but why did God allow Hitler to kill millions of people to start with? People that can’t see the hand of God in anything are just negative people. Ray Comfort talking about when Abraham commissioned his servant Eliezer to find a bride for Isaac shows how God is ultimately in control of the smallest events that many take for granted.

Genesis 24:26,27 “There are times when the miraculous happens and convinces the believer that what he is experiencing could only be the hand of God. It is always a wonderful mystery as to why God would condescend to involve man in working out His great purposes. It is also a great mystery as to how He could possibly orchestrate circumstances of the future so perfectly. In experiences words don’t suffice. One can only bow in worship.”

Many Christians were praying that God would give us a leader that would change the course that Godless leaders were leading America. I strongly disagreed with the radical policies of President Biden but on a daily basis prayed for him along with all the other politicians that God would change their hearts. Maybe you can find nothing positive to say about the corruption being uncovered, the protection of women and girls in bathrooms and locker rooms, protecting children from being mutilated in the name of overthrowing God’s creative order of male and female, stopping the invasion of millions of military age men crossing our borders illegally, putting grandmothers in prison for the rest of their lives for praying at an abortion clinic, etc. And maybe you dislike Donald Trump to the point you can find nothing good to say about him but I don’t know any other man or woman in America that would have had the fortitude to do what he is doing. I absolutely love love what Trump is doing with USAID. That wasn’t what I was referring to.

It was a simple question. I’m not doubting God nor am I bitter nor am I being negative.

I simply asked, if God saved Trump that day why even allow the guy on the roof? What about the ppl in the crowd that died? Is Trump more important than them?

Or was God like, Trump I need to save this country but not them.

God didn't consult with me, that's true, but He told you this as well me:

Deuteronomy 32:39 KJV - See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.​

So I do know that it was God that spared him. And so do you.

But you do not know why, is my point.

No one knows if God spared this man to “save” America.

Wrong. We can't know the "why" with certainty, but there's no question about the "if."

I know. Just like bullets whiz by men in combat, this one whizzed by Trump. It happens. That's it. Nothing more. I met a survivor of the USS Indianapolis. He lived. Most died. If God was involved in any of this it was to get these men to think of eternity. Trump will not and can not "save" America. All this bluster and smoke and mirrors seem to help, but until he does some good (He will need Congress) it's all just blabbering. Now I will be happy to eat my words if Trump: Cuts the defense budget in half. Closes the Dept. of Education permanently (other Dept's [Energy. Labor. HHS]closed will be a bonus). Works to overturn the 16th and 17th Amendments. Stops all foreign aid. (I can dream, can't I?) Of course, this is all nonsense. America will continue to be the enabler for the world to accept the leadership of the antichrist. Just think, America, the so-called "Christian nation" is working overtime to set up Satan's man. And the loudest Christian voices for that enabling are IFB churches.

Did I say that? What does that even mean? "Save America"? Does it mean that Trump will transform from a reprobate to an evangelist who will lead millions of Americans to a saving faith in Christ? If it doesn't mean that, then what does it mean?

Spare America a little longer or hold that rapture a little longer.

I’m only replying to what I’m reading in this thread. And it seems like some on here believe God spared Trump in order to spare America.

Therefore, my question is did he tell you that?

As I said, we have no way of knowing the why. So it's futile to ask me why.

But we can know for certain God determined it (not merely allowed it), because he "works all things according to the counsel of his will" (Eph. 1:11). To borrow (I think) R. C. Sproul's phrase, there are no rogue molecules. Otherwise, there could be no guarantees God could succeed in working out his own plans.

Just because God's plans are sometimes inscrutable, doesn't mean he has none.
