Jeremiah 17:9
"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"
I imagine Jesus Christ can understand it very well ....
The other thread was going crazy and it seemed time to start a new thread in regards to the subject of our wicked hearts, demonic influences, and cures for the Redeemed.
Jesus washed me whiter than snow many years ago - but this is my position until I reach heaven, right? Slowly He is molding me here on earth, but my heart needs to be open to this change. And yet, sin, and something deeper has a grip on me.
What about a Christian having a deceitfully wicked heart - can they? If so, what is the best cure? How can they build a relationship, stop sinning, and overcome the evil one. How can this little amount of faith grow?
The pain from sin can cause me to be very depressed at times - I feel like Peter after he denied his Master .... but, unlike him, I still do the same sin over and over ... and keep crying for help.
