David Platt elected IMB President.

Did he choose himself, after which the SBC labeled him as elected?

Sorry, that question belongs in a CA/ARM thread...

He was chosen by God.

He was chosen by God.

Did he choose to be chosen or was there no choice in his chosenness?

Before the dawn of time, God foreknew that David would be a great champion for missions in the world and chose him based on how great David would be. :D

Yes, in a jiff.

The SBC needed Platt more than he needed this position.
But I think it's a good move, nonetheless.

I love Lottie Moon's Pies....

I became familiar with moon pies when I was 5 years old and my family lived in Georgia for a year.  I lived in NC for a year back in 2002, and it brought back nice memories to see moon pies at the grocery store.  I got them for the kids.  I confess, I ate one.

I loved NC.  I'd move back in a heartbeat if I had the opportunity.
