Criticize this "Free-Bird" Pastor, Get Slapped With a Restraining Order

Don't look for this on "Stuff Fundies Like."  It's a double standard, hyprocrisy thing.

SFL doesn't criticize seeker-sensitive churches for the same reason they don't criticize Big Tobacco - it's outside of their scope. They don't claim to be "Stuff Seeker-Sensitive, Emergent, Liberal, T-Shirt-and-Soul-Patch Pastorettes Like." (It's ridiculous to think that if you refuse to criticize everyone, you aren't allowed to criticize anyone.) This may well be because they are biased in favour of that kind of church and against fundamentalist churches (and most of the post-fundamentalist bloggers I've encountered on the Net do tend to be emergie types, granted), but that's beside the point.

In any case, I'm no fan of Stephen Furtick. He's a loudmouth. Assuming for the sake of argument that shady goings-on were business as usual for Elevation Church, then such a "confidentiality agreement" would be unenforceable against a whistleblower. No contract exists where the activities are unlawful.

People I have never heard of picking fights with people I have never heard of.

I'd also point out that you don't get a restraining order for criticizing the pastor. You get one for what they deem to be "confidential information", some I agree should remain so and some that absolutely shouldn't be.

Furtick has almost all of the stereotypical IFB 'man of god' ways and attitude.
And, in the grand scheme of things there are more contemporary Furticks out there than IFB's.
sfl comes across as bitter haters to SOME people.

Sure. The ones whose sacred cows are being turned into ground chuck.

Mine aren't and they seem that way to me.
And Furtick comes off as a little demagogue to me as well.

Wonder what he thinks about us? :)

And yes RecoveringIFB.  They BOTH are a waste of skin

SFL specializes in attacking Fundies, that is, right wing, legalistic, abusive fundamentalists.  One of their own moderators is still a fundy, albeit what she calls fundy lite.  She'd fit in perfect here.
