Could this be the demise of Accredited Christian Colleges?

Perhaps. If you crave the government's funding and the government's approval, then you have to go by the government's rules. Why should the government be supporting Christian education anyway if there is separation between church and state?

I agree with every word you said.  However, over the last 7 years since I have been posting on the old FFF and now the new FFF, Hyles Anderson College has been mocked and picked apart into pieces b/c of its lack of accreditation.  Now, I agree the educational standards were not that high, but now we're beginning to see the fruits of accepting approval and standards from the world.
Maybe Bro. Hyles had a wee bit more wisdom than most would give him?

HAC was not and is not telling the truth about why they are not accredited.

They have never had an entire staff that was capable of teaching on the college level. They falsified grades and records, fostered violent gangs, slandered students from the pulpit, handed out academic awards for having large bus routes, and ran off faculty who objected to their sins.

Not only does HAC not meet the academic standards of the state of Indiana, but they do not meet the moral standards, either.

But that doesn't explain the 40 years before the prediction came to fruition. Granted, HAC never claimed to prepare anybody for anything outside of ministry so at least they were honest about that.

Separation of church and state is something liberals made up and use to squelch religious freedom, IMO.

I wasn't aware that Christian Colleges were accredited by the government.
I thought it was thru accrediting associations/organizations.
How do they get government funding?
Pell grants?

Does Hyles Anderson accept students receiving Veterans benefits?

It is really sad when you can take this post and remove the "HAC" and insert "OBC," "WCBC," GSBC," "TBC," and others and not make it any less accurate. Is there a common denominator here?

Both sides put their own spin on it.

Are those associations/organizations governmental-based programs? Some are involved with the FFELP so they have federal backing. So there is governmental involvement just like the banking system. So in essence, the links in the chain go back to Big Brother.

Does Hyles Anderson accept students receiving Veterans benefits?

I think at one point they did but don't know for sure.

I clearly recall that HAC students received veterans' benefits when I was there. They even had someone from the VA come out to help them fill out the correct forms.

When I was there they did.  That was a deciding point for me to go there instead of another school.  Looking back I feel like I sold out for $$$.

Speaking of accredited school:

John R. Rice,  Lester Roloff, Jack Hyles, and Lee Roberson all graduated from accredited Southern Baptist Colleges.

Bill Rice graduated from Moody Bible Institute, which is accredited.

You could get worse. Bob Jones Sr., Billy Sunday, and Charles Spurgeon did not graduate from college.

But hold on! Not only did Charles Finney not graduate from college, he became the president of the first US college to admit Blacks and women. (I never read that in Sword of the Lord).

By George, Tarheel Baptist caught me in an error! Jerry Falwell graduated from Baptist Bible College of Springfield, Missouri in 1956, when it was unaccredited. In 2001, it became accredited.

On the other hand, a certain unaccredited college has produced more pastors in jail for sex crimes than any accredited Southern Baptist college or university  during the same time period.

I'm thinking this isn't a cause for hearing a "We're Number One" cheer.

I'm not sure, but assumed the accrediting agencies were independent.
By government support, do you mea pell grants, government scholarships?
And VA benefits have always been accepted by unaccredited schools.

I'm not sure I understand your point.

FTR, Falwell was a graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri...a BBF school.
Not sure it was accredited then or now.

He always said he could hire education.  :)

Good Heavens, Tarheel, you're right! Baptist Bible College was unaccredited in 1956, when Falwell graduated. It was accredited in 2001.
