In her "letter" to the church on Sunday night, she mentioned that she was sorry for the issues of her husbands from the past few years.  Very interested in what she means....

Also, what staff member that worked for js was fired b/c of it?

Wesley not sure who  you are but there's lots for you to read and then come back with some questions .....not sure who was fired a lot of people were let go....

Wesley, that exact phrase "the last couple years" or "the last two years" got my attention, too. Along with Pastor Wilkerson saying he and Cindy Schaap and Eddie Lapina sat down and met for awhile. For what, hmmm?

Yeah,... I don't trust Eddie either. Let me be clear on that one. Does no one remember when he lied to us that first Sunday?

I do not think there will be an substantial, lasting change until Lapina is fired. How much power does Wilkerson even have to change the place? Does he really even want to?

My question wasn't about what staffers were fired... I know there were lots.  My question was who was the staffer who confronted JS or was going to out him that was fired?

As far as Pastor Wilkerson, I have every confidence in him to do right.  I think he has already quietly and humbling made changes.... does it seem weird to anyone else that B_ _ M _ _ _ _ _ _ _ was going to start a church, and now has decided to stay in the area.... but wants to "just be a layman?"

Also, when Darell Moore announced that he was relocating to another state, but still working with the ministries... that had all over it the fingerprints of "We were supposed to submit our resignations when a new Pastor came in, I did and.... he accepted" :)

The deacons are firmly in control of the finances as they should have been for the last 50 years. Much heartache would have been averted.

There's been too many to recall. Which specific lie are you referring to?

JS body man.

The staffer that was the hero of the whole thing, to my understanding, was first fired by JS directly. Then rehired when his role was discovered. Then 'laid off' in the first massive layoff. I don't want to name his name, but he was not Jack Mitchell, JS's personal assistant. He was the intern. And he alone had courage and cahunas. I have privately and personally thanked him as well as telling him I am sorry he was let go and as well as telling him I would give HIM a standing ovation.

I am waiting to embrace the new pastorate. I am holding back. I'd like to see Marshall, Douglass, and Lapina gone. (Torres too, while we are at it) But they are being embraced. Cannot fathom that.

The attitude of the new pastor, although he has never said as much, is that these are good men who do good works and none is blameless, no not one. So stop the finger pointing, go soulwinning, and do something for God like these men are.

He is HAC trained.  Did anyone really expect differently?  Lapina was the interim pastor.  You really think the leadership would have put forward someone who would make those kinds of changes?

No I don't think so. But I think God could. And so, a girl can dream.

Man I wish I could have heard the letters they read, I hope they post them o their youtube channel

It is a conundrum since he (intern) and one of the two staff members that went to the police with the photographs were "laid off", yet one continues to work there (all three men did the right thing and deserve a lot of respect for not giving into the good old boys that wanted to do otherwise).  It almost seems like there was and was not something behind the people getting let go, but at the same time it is possible.....

Cindy did not come forward with any photographs.

My understanding is that all his personal staff was let go.

Possibly....the two staff men that went to the police were not on his personal staff.

On a technicality, i could be wrong, but I don't believe Marshall is on payroll. How much more gone could you want him? Don't think there's grounds to excommunicate him just for being on staff at one time.... and what exactly do you mean by these men are "being embraced"?

Wish there was a like button :)

Teaching Sunday night classes...being asked to fill the pulpit in the pastor's absence...that's pretty 'embraced' and from at least one situation to which I am privy, I don't think these guys should be counseling or advising. Church member, fine. (But p.s., since you asked how much more gone I could want ...both Marshall and Douglass declared they were leaving. Now they are staying. I wish they had left.)

Is this Dave Douglas you are talking about?
