Why should we not be familiar with their teachings? Jesus dealt with this level of legalism.

I like the comment on the page: What do you do for sacrifices? I know you don't believe that Jesus is the Messiah so how do you atone for your sins ( we all have them)

That cuts to the heart of the matter. Talmudic Judaism is not real Judaism.
