, great post, and great school. Is DBTS thinking about starting a doctoral program? They are one of the few institutions that have the faculty and reputation for it but stop at the ThM level. What is the philosophy behind this decision?

It is a tall mountain to climb to offer the Th.D. degree. They have been working toward it. Not sure about their progress.
The nice thing about their philosophy is that instead of making their students learn German, they would heighten the level of Greek and Hebrew. They already have done just that in their Th.M. program.
