[Baptist City Holdout]

I had a very dear friend recently text me some pictures of Baptist City. That was a very thoughtful gesture. I gasped as I saw the land from which I derive my name. Really enjoyed living at BC even though most of the time I did not have a car. There was just something about getting away from it all at the Main Campus. Are there any old codgers left with BC stories?

I had a room mate who would g shirtless in the empty cars on the RR and sun tan. Not sure who he impressed with the tan!

It was the Fall of 1978; I remember a blonde Adonis from Canoga Park, California, who drove a vintage, fire-engine-red convertible and roamed BC in style! I'm not sure if he graduated four years later, but there was a pleasant view at BC that September!

I lived at Baptist City during my freshman and Sophomore years.  On the very first day my parents took me to unload all my stuff.  We walked into the dorm and the hot water heater had sprung a leak.  The carpet was soaked in much of the dorm.  You can only imagine the smell.

Mr. Olsen's English classes when Jeff Woosley was a senior.

The year Frank Garlock came and talked about Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers being two of the biggest in country music.

I'll never forget that week....Garlock was the music director at my Grandma's church.
What a crock he layed on us.
