No numbers to report, but I look at the '14 numbers and shake my head. Then again I wouldn't recommend many of these schools anyway.
Was just thinking today how the Christian (IFB)  education majors are really finding a shallow job market nowadays.

One critical thing would be to define "Attendance" for the schools.  I remember that some schools (HAC) would count people auditing a class, or people just taking one class.  Probably should define it as the number of full-time students.

Someone should tell their web site; they are advertising Fall 2016 registration.

They moved to new property in 2015.

I believe they lost their previous property and moved it to the church.

232 S Townline Rd, Gaylord, MI 49735 is the address of the church.

I'll double check my information source.  8)

Grace had tour groups all over this summer. I heard the college property was old so they plan to build on their church property. I heard they are going strong with kids from all over the mid-west & south. They have always been very small, but they have many pastors loyal to Bro. Jenkins & his ministry.

We are well into the school year, does anyone have some current data.

I see that Berean in Orange Park is closing their college in stages. Typically, it is not because of dwindling numbers and revenue, it is because God led them to close. People saved and baptized, altars filled, revival spirit, etc. I am finding out that this is pretty typical reporting from most of our ifb bretheren, yet I see pics of their auditoriums and something just does not add up. IMO

Grace Baptist College, Gaylord, MI - From Sword of the Lord, 06/02 2017 - Shelton Smith preached the graduation with ten graduates and "Bro. Jenkins announced that they will have the largest incoming group of freshmen in September that they have had in several years."

I think they may call this whistling past the graveyard.

For the last 30 years during HAC deacons meetings we were told that attendance was up from the previous year.
The reality was that the attendance was on a continual downward trend.
What is the problem with just telling the truth?
This seems to be a common affliction among the IFB brethren.

It is very hard to give IFB types any credibility.

Nothing has changed from the 70s.

Grace is just one more example of spinning the truth into a lie.

You cannot know that, and for you to so blatantly and carelessly accuse a brother in Christ of such is reprehensible. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

You may have an opinion based on your years of experience with HAC being at best cloudy with its numbers but you cannot foist that off so flippantly and certainly on another brother. It just is not right.

You are dead wrong.

I've been there dozens of times since they first opened.
They are on the same downward tragectory as HAC.
You protest too much.

Me too BG. I have been there as much as you. I believe he was quoted as they are having a large increase in the fall semester. What can be so untrue about that. There numbers had taken a big hit of which one reason was your former pastor and they are slowly coming back. Not a big fan but I believe you are wrong in your characterization.

I'm not protesting the numbers. The issue is not the numbers. The issue is your flat out statement of fact that he lied.

It is impossible for you to know that. And it is ungodly to do.

The op had

"Grace Baptist College, Gaylord, MI - From Sword of the Lord, 06/02 2017 - Shelton Smith preached the graduation with ten graduates and "Bro. Jenkins announced that they will have the largest incoming group of freshmen in September that they have had in several years."

In my opinion this is positive spin that paints a picture that does not include all the pertinent information regarding the overall decline in IFB colleges.
It is the same type of spin the deacons have gotten from HAC since the 80s.
Preachers tend to yuck it up at preaching meetings about the positive aspects while completely ignoring the facts.
This is the opposite of a prospectus which is used in business where dishonesty can have negative consequences to the corporate officers. Preachers do not normally give the whole truth when it makes them look bad.
