Once again, the Ark Encounter, featuring a 510-foot-long Noah’s Ark as its centerpiece, has been chosen the best religious museum in the United States. The results of the “USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice” poll—with 18 nominees—were announced today, with the Ark Encounter receiving the most readers’ votes. The Ark’s sister attraction, the high-tech Creation Museum, finished second in the voting.

This doesn't surprise me at all. I know many unchurched people who have gone there, and now many of them are searching their Bibles and asking questions about the Lord!

Funny fact related to the Ark Encounter. I live not too far from it and one brother has a place on Williamstown Lake that we go to several times during the summer. Williamstown Lake is off the same exit as the Ark Encounter. Just around the corner from the exit, was a restaurant called "Shem's Place". It didn't stay open very long though. I guess with only 8 people getting off the ark, it didn't get much business.

It is quite impressive that they built this thing. I am curious how the financed or paid for it's construction.

I suppose if one visits there when there's a thunderstorm you really get a real sense or feeling of the flood.
