I may get a job offer there, and I know nothing about Cincinnati.  So I'm hoping to get some guidance as to where to look for a safe (but affordable) location for an apartment.

There are also two possible jobs in California, but I'm already familiar with those cities since I lived there for many years.

I'll be back with more questions about other places if it looks like I may move somewhere else.

Please keep praying for my family, and for me to find work.  We're about to get desperate.

Stay on the KY side. Nice museums, zoo and of course the Reds and Bangels are there. Kings Island is there too.  Ky horse park is south west of Cin near Lexlington. Lots to do and see around there.

"Over the Rhine" = BAD!

Indian Hills = Good!

Hope this helps.

:D

Seriously, I'm a bit more familiar with Columbus than Cinci, but I could provide some minimal info if you'd like.  There's lots of suburbs, townships, and outskirts that are very acceptable and safe (Anderson, Batavia, Milford, Kings Mill, etc).

Prayin' for ya bro.

It's in Ohio...that's enough reason to avoid it. ;)

That's how I feel about Ohio, but if it comes down to Ohio job vs. no job, I'll take the Ohio job.

Well my memories of riding through Ohio going to Kentucky is the roads were awful and Cincinnati always had the worse air pollution.........sadly it hasn't changed.  My prayers are with you Tomato keep us posted ....if you can go for a area check and see the job

Danato's Pizza!

The morning traffic going southbound on I-75 over the river and up the hill is the most amazing mass of semi tractor trailer rigs you will ever experience.

Second only to the Dan Ryan to the Bishop Ford from I-80/94 to I-65 Corridor, in South Chicago/NWI

Up near Dayton seems real nice.  We have many friends that way.

Its a 40 min. commute.

The only thing I know about Cincinnati is the fictional WKRP.

If you ask how I know of Toledo, Ohio...I spent a week there one day.  8)

I loved that show.  Coincidentally, I was a producer and DJ at a radio station when that show was running, so I identified with a lot of it.

Yeah, I liked that show, too. Especially the Thanksgiving helicopter episode. It still makes me laugh.

BTW, what a coincidence of coincidences. I also worked as a DJ, producer and even a program manager during the time it was on the air and identified with it as well. I got my Third Class license in 1977 and Second Class in 1978, right before the FCC dropped the requirement.  :(
