Does it work well for you?
What side effects have you experienced, or have heard of others experience?

I asked my hubby and this was his basic response:

It is a non-narcotic that has a narcotic-like effect.  If it works for you, it is a great drug.  He recommends 2-50mg tabs 4 times a day (max dose is 400mg.)  He said some drs start at a lower dose, but he has found that if the lower dose does not work, the higher dose will not, either.  As long as you don't have side effects, give it 3 to 4 days to get the blood levels up to evaluate if it works for you.

What are you taking it for? If you don't mind me asking that is.

I didn't reply right away because I have only one experience with Tramadol.  It was prescribed to my boxer when when he was run over by a vehicle.  No broken bones, but a distinct tire track over his hip.  4-wheeler on dirt?  He had a bunch of deep abrasions, some of which required surgery.  Hence the Tramadol.  Not like he could tell me his side effects, but it seemed to help him to sleep.  I take that  to mean it relieved his pain.  He had no nausea, in that he could eat a meal without vomiting.

And I only tell you this because I know that many medications are tested on animals before they are allowed to be prescribed to humans.

I pray you get as good a result from this medication as my beloved boxer did.

I don't mind telling you. I have lower back issues which tend to spasm now and again. I also have issues with my lower neck which cause burning pain and sometimes stabbing pain. Those are the two main issues that I have besides tendonitis in both of my shoulders. Let's put it this way I'm a mess.
