Just after 4 pm on August 14, 2003, tree branches contacting power lines in Ohio resulted in the largest electrical blackout in North American history.
The power in Ottawa was out for nearly a full day. Obviously I couldn't get hot food, so I bought some stuff at the local farmer's market and ate about a metric ton of salad that day.
It seems to me that the majority of FFFers always seem to hail from the southern or Western U.S. rather than the northeast. Was anyone else affected?
