Victims lose all sense of proportion. Donald Trump's every word or action causes revulsion…unlike a stopped clock, Trump can never be right.

I have noticed since the election that it has spread from the point of origin — the political class — to the Democrat Progressives to….gasp…a few on the FFF.
It often presents as ‘the Dems and Republicans are the same’….but personally I think…I believe… it’s simply TDS.

"It quickly became apparent to anyone paying attention that NeverTrump just meant opposition to all Republicans. But Cheney’s failure and Trump’s return mark the death knell for the NeverTrump movement, which achieved almost none of its aims and is now on the outs even with the Democrats who funded it." (American Spectator)

Trump Derangement Syndrome can be defined as "the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency—nay—the very existence of [Donald Trump]." TL Though when Charles Krauthammer defined it, it was actually about George W. Bush.

Makes no difference. Opponents of every president since Bill Clinton, at least, have suffered from this ailment. One difference is that with anyone other than Trump, I don't recall anyone doing a complete 180 on positions they previously held, just because they found out Trump agreed with them.

With Trump is does cut both ways, extreme hatred or he's the savior of the world that can do no wrong. I am a very proud Reagan Republican and a #nevertrump

There’s nothing wrong with admiring Reagan, but he hasn’t been president since January 20, 1989. Maybe you need to adopt a new leader. I’ve never been crazy about Trump, but gladly voted for him three times versus the alternatives.

Reagan Republican as far as policies and positions, he was a very flawed president too but at least he could motivate the entire world with his leadership.

and that;s part of the problem..... i have never considered trump a "savior" just a smart president that could do what reagan did...... and i know plenty of democrats that voted for harris and had their own reasons for doing so.. .. none of those reasons were hatred for trump and i respected that..... but i never considered anyone a TDS sufferer even if all they could do was constantly cry and complain about trump... ..but when they reverted to demonizing not only trump but also his supporters - than i called it TDS....... and one of the ways TDS sufferers demonized us was to declare us trump worshippers ... ..... that started happening in hawaii long before i ever heard the term TDS.....

what has bidens "leadership" motivated the world to do - other than take up arms and begin killing each other?...... ...i must admit he motivated me a few times to go out for icecream.... . but other than that it;s been a horror show from day one.... even most democrats i know here in a deep blue state admit trump was a better president... ....he convinced more of them to vote republican in 2024 than any republican since reagan....

I'm not a fan of Biden, people voted their pocketbook, always have, always will, to quote James Carville "It's the economy stupid" While I'm not a Trump supporter I hope his economic policies are wildly successful and that our country reaches new heights for all our people. I personally see no leadership ability with Trump, no ability to bring us together as a country, no ability to unify, no ability to lead the free world. Set aside is very immoral past, his lack of communication skills, name calling etc. I do hope and pray that he can be the leader we need.

but at least he could motivate the entire world with his leadership.
Who cares about “motivation.” It’s results that count, and last time I checked, the world was pretty stable, peaceful and prosperous during Trump’s reign. What does it look like now with Biden at the helm? Quite frankly, I don’t care if other world leaders think they’re more sophisticated than Trump, at least they have enough fear to keep their toes on the line when he’s in charge.

You mean Trump's Deification Syndrome
<phew> I had to take a second take on that one, but thankfully after I reread it I realized that you weren't saying that Trump had scatalogical issues.

😁

He built quite the coalition for no leadership ability that you can see. I'd say the problem is your eyesight.
